Don’t call it a comeback! AC presented the new Cobra GT

AC Cars has provided details and veiled images of the new Cobra GT roadster. The silhouette in the teaser images is the familiar roadster shape and Britain’s oldest active vehicle manufacturer intends to produce the most advanced Cobra ever. That’s £3,000. The roadster will be powered by Ford’s 5.0-liter V8 Coyote engine, which produces 654 horsepower from the factory. Consumers can choose between a 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission, and the Cobra GT roadster is expected to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. The official presentation of the Cobra GT roadster is scheduled for the spring of 2023.

The Cobra GT roadster is more of a grand tourer than its predecessor and designed for everyday use. This incarnation of the Cobra will be even friendlier with air conditioning, electric windows, sophisticated in-car entertainment and an optional removable hard top. Icona Design Group and Cecomp Spa have collaborated to develop a chassis specifically designed for the Cobra GT roadster.
