Great Wall Motor Malaysia has unveiled a duo of GWM Cannon vans at this week’s MAS 2023 event.
We first heard about these trucks sometime in mid-2022, when they were referred to as the Poer P12 for the passenger-friendly blue version, and the Poer P11 for the white workhorse-oriented truck seen here, but that’s what they’re known for today. the GWM Cannon as it is called in the Australian market.
Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 160 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission.
The blue truck here (P12) has a bold front grille with a thick frame and horizontal chrome strips, instead of the P11 there is a “fog” grille. The P11’s headlights are also designed to look like “hawk eyes,” as the company describes them, compared to the P12’s more angular look.
Previously, the Poer P12 was advertised with a price tag of RM13x,xxx, while the Poer P11 was estimated to be priced at RM11x,xxx, but that was a year ago and due to exchange rate fluctuations, we don’t stick to the previously quoted prices. .
