When the gates opened On the first day of Barrett-Jackson’s 2023 Palm Beach auction, thousands of enthusiastic auto enthusiasts explored the event, which is filled with world-class collector vehicles at the South Florida fairgrounds.

On Thursday morning, guests of all ages were treated to many wonderful experiences on the auction site, from interactive displays and presentations by more than 100 exhibitors and sponsors to a variety of dining options.

Visitors also enjoyed the thrills of Dodge Challengers and Chargers and Toyota Supras around the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track. Both Ford and Chevrolet were ready for Hot Laps in Mustangs and Corvettes.

A new attraction at the auction is Electric Vehicle Driving Experiences, which allow guests to get behind the wheel of a new Lucid Motors vehicle or an electric car from Power and Light of Florida.

The auction kicked off on Thursday with the first of the first three morning collections of original and one-of-a-kind automotives crossing the block at the Automobilia Auction. The morning auction started with 100 collectible coolers on the block where three beautiful gas pumps – one 1939 Texaco Oil Neptun Model 855the 1950s Mobil Oil Wayne 100 and the 1950-60s Wayne 505 Sunoco Racing Fuel model proved to be the stars of the show.

Enthusiastic audiences continued to fill the pavilion as the Collector Car Auction got under way in the early afternoon. Nearly 200 of the No Reserve collection vessels at the Port of Palm Beach turned the block. Among the top sellers of the day was a 1970 Plymouth Road Runner (Item 137), a 1965 Chevrolet Nova SS custom coupe (Item 109), a 1964 Chevrolet Corvette 327/300 convertible (Item 112), a 1948 MG TC Roadster (Item 88), and a 1961 Pontiac Catalina Tri-Power convertible (Item 105).
