Drive the Bid Podcast: Guilty Pleasures

We can’t really know why we like certain things. Despite what we think, some things are objectively or subjectively bad, but they are good for us – just think Ramones such as. They are not great musicians, and their repertoire does not compete Wagnerbut they have carved out a niche for themselves that utilizes something that people find attractive.

This possibility also exists for cars.

In the ninth episode of Drive the Bid, Derek Shiekhi, “Jalopy Jeff” Sutton and I select some vehicles that are often maligned but happen to find a special place for us. Rover, Citroen, Lexus and more are mentioned, and the recognition sometimes exceeds the party of one, as you can see in the video below.

Further discussions include news about the announcement of Volkswagen ID. Mood for the US market, 2024 Jeep Wrangler prices and features, and an unusual Toyota Prius Le Mans Centennial GR Edition.

Of course, we’ll also discuss our favorite cars currently on the AutoHunter list: a 1956 Ford which recalls the days of business coupes and a couple of Jaguars: a 2008 Jaguar XKR Coupe and the 1990 XJ-S Convertible. All of this can be seen in the video above from AutoHunter Cinema, created by the experts behind it ClassicCars.com, the world’s largest online collector car marketplace.
