Cadillac Escalade IQ, 2024 BMW 4-Series, Rivian Gets Tesla Charging Port: Car News Today

GM has announced that the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will debut on August 9. The electric Escalade will also roll into New York for its debut, but production won’t start until 2024. The Escalade IQ Ultium platform and components are shared by the Chevy Silverado EV, GMC Hummer EV and GMC Sierra EV.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series Coupe has passed the track tests at the Nürburgring. The mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 4 Series features updated front and rear fascias and refined lighting elements. Inside, a single curved glass panel covers the latest infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.

Rivian has announced that it will adopt Tesla’s charging port, known as the North American Charging Standard (NACS). The automaker joins Ford and General Motors in developing Tesla’s plug, with Hyundai and Stellantis also considering it.
