Kia EV6 recreated in Lego form for Milan Design Week – 350,000 bricks, 800 hours to create 1:1 scale model

After winning the 2023 World Performance Car of the Year award, the Kia EV6 has now been immortalized in Lego form. This 1:1 scale model is labeled ‘Brick To The Future’ and is currently on display during Milan Design Week before being moved to the Kia Energy House in Rome.

Commissioned by Kia Italy, this EV6 is made of 350,000 Lego bricks and was put together over 800 hours by BrickVision, a company based in Reggio Emilia. BrickVision was founded by Riccardo Zangelmi, the founder of Italy’s first and only Lego Certified Professional, and worked on the project for four months.

This included ensuring that every intricate detail of the all-electric crossover was captured in brick form, as well as developing a working lighting system to ensure the EV6’s signature light signatures were true to life.

Debuting for the first time in 2021, the EV6 is based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and will be offered in Malaysia in a single GT-Line AWD variant priced at RM300,668 without insurance. For the month, it gets a 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery capable of a range of 506km (following the WLTP standard) and a pair of electric motors for 325PS (321PS or 239kW) and 605Nm. the torque.
