Now you can build your 2024 Mustang

If you anticipate Ford has released the 2024 Mustang, now you can configure your dream Mustang … well, somewhat. While the options are listed, the appearance items aren’t currently listed on Ford’s website, but will appear in time.

However, with plenty of options to make it unique, the Mustang continues to give enthusiasts freedom of choice in an automotive world that seems to have no choice. The difficulty of specing the Mustang comes with options and packages that don’t match each other, leaving you with tough decisions to make. Here’s a quick list of the more spirited performance and appearance options available for future Mustangs.

THE Mustang Nite Pony Pack It is available for both EcoBoost and GT models, in both basic and premium trim levels. The package consists of:

  • 19 x 8.5 inch ebony painted aluminum wheels
  • 255/40R19 W-rated tires (part of the GT Performance Package, below)
  • Black GT, 5.0 and Pony badges
  • Black mirror caps
  • Black painted roof (unless ordered with Shadow Black paint or convertible)
  • Headlights with black frame
  • Shadow Black painted blade decklid spoiler

THE Bronze look package limited to Mustang EcoBoost Premium High 201A and GT Premium models. It consists of:

  • Sinister Bronze Painted Aluminum Wheels (19 x 9/19 x 9.5 inches)
  • 255/40R19W tires
  • Special edition badges

The above two appearance packages cannot be ordered with each other or with other options or packages containing other rims and tires. This is also true for available stripes.

For enthusiasts looking to upgrade their Mustangs to another level of performance, several packages are available. Both EcoBoost models have a 2.3 liter high performance package includes:

  • 3.55 Torsen limited slip rear axle
  • 19 x 9 inch Carbonized Gray painted aluminum wheels
  • 255/40 ZR19 summer tire only
  • Black painted spring-tower brace
  • Black seat belts (for cars equipped with 200A EcoBoost 200A equipment group)
  • Carbon Black grille
  • Electric parking brake
  • Front towbars
  • Heavy duty front springs
  • 19-inch Brembo brake system with high-performance pads and calipers with black and white logos
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel – with four-piece chrome bezel (included with 200A EcoBoost Premium Equipment Group)
  • Paddle shifters
  • Body color raised deck spoiler (not available on convertible)
  • Delete Spoiler (Convertible)
  • Unique chassis tuning, EPAS, ABS and stability control tuning
  • Increased rear swing arm

This package is not available with appearance packages, stripe options, or other wheels.

The Mustang GT has its own version of the above package. Called by GT Performance packageavailable on both GT and GT Premium models and includes:

  • Carbonized Gray painted aluminum wheels (19 x 9/19 x 9.5 inches)
  • 19-inch Brembo brake system with high-performance pads and black (white logo) calipers
  • Electric parking brake
  • Front towbars
  • Grille painted ebony black
  • Heavy duty front springs
  • K-brace
  • Body color performance raised rear wing (not available on convertible, but available as a separate option)
  • Black painted spring-tower brace
  • Torsen differential, 3.73 gears manual, 3.55 gears with automatic
  • Unique chassis tuning, stability control, EPAS and ABS tuning
  • Upturned rear swingarm

This package also includes many restrictions on other wheels available for the Mustang.

Since Dark Horse includes some of the above features, there is no performance package for this top model. However the Dark Horse treatment package add the following bits:

  • 19 x 10.5/19 x 11 inch dark painted aluminum wheels
  • 305/30R19 and 315/30R19 tires
  • Adjustable strut top mounts
  • Front towbars
  • Magnetic damping system (optional for other Mustangs)
  • Shadow Black performance rear spoiler with Gurney flap
  • Revised chassis tuning

Want even more performance? THE Active valve performance exhaust available for all Mustang models, from Mustang EcoBoost to GT Premium; found in Dark Horse models. For GTs, it includes four chrome tailpipes, while Dark Horses get black extensions.
