The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV will debut on April 17

The Mercedes-Maybach brand will launch its very first electric car on the market on April 17, and it will receive an SUV body. We are talking about the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680, which was first presented as a concept in 2021.

This will be the first time the 680 suffix has been used on an electric Mercedes-Benz, with previous electric models being used on the 580 or 53 AMG. The EQS SUV 580 has 544 hp and 858 Nm, while the EQS 53 sedan with the “AMG Dynamic Plus” package has 761 hp and 1020 Nm of torque. We wonder if the 680 will match those numbers?

And what about the battery? Mercedes-Benz’s current largest battery, which is the same as the battery installed in all EQS SUV models, has a useful capacity of 107.8 kWh. Is there room for more in the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV?

For now, only the WLTP consumption figures, which are between 22.5-24.4 kWh/100 km, and the CO2 emissions, which of course are 0 g/km, since it is a pure electric car.

The car will make its physical debut at Auto Shanghai in China, but the event will also be broadcast live Mercedes-Benz website and YouTube and other social platforms with live streaming capabilities.
