Passenger electric vehicles can play a leading role paultan.org Electric Vehicle Expo (EVx) 2023, currently at the Setia City Convention Center (SCCC) until tomorrow (July 22-23), but the commercial aspects of electrification are not being forgotten.
One of these vehicles is on display at the Avis stand. This is the CE1 pickup (which stands for Create Another Future) from the Malaysian company CAF. The all-electric range, as the design suggests, is a utility vehicle available with outputs ranging from 30 kW to 80 kW (depending on the variant), driving the rear wheels.
The 41.86 kWh lithium-ion phosphate (LFP) battery sourced from CATL offers the van a range of up to 300 km (based on the NEDC cycle), which the company says is one of the longest ranges in the commercial electric vehicle market. The top speed is 100 km/h.
The two-seater kit includes LED daytime running lights, a nine-inch central infotainment screen (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, no less), reversing sensors and a rear camera. In terms of safety, the E-Cargo CE1 is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD and ESC.
